Lost in a Fairy Tale

A Beautiful girl always . . .

She was all alone
A flower that blossomed
Although it took too long

Tribulations of society
Had eaten away at her case
Self-esteem left faltered
By which attention from men replaced

Exuding warmth and brilliance
She cracks a vibrant smile
Attracting a man
That seems willing to go the mile

Charming he is at first
Yet not the one for she
A boulevard marred by passion
Manipulation, distrust and misery

She needs to evaluate
The choices that she makes
Emphasize on quality
Instead of the art of conjugate

The path she follows
Will be the story of her life
A Heart full of anguish
Filled with characters that are trite

Longing for growth
Time soon fades away
He is not the one
She will realize that one day

To restore her passion
In what she fears the most
For the man behind the mask
Is not worth to boast

Commitments that work
When struggles subside
Not a waning moon of desire
Nor hormones that ride the tide

When it all comes down to it
A dim look left upon her face
All her peers tend to judge her
Snickering as she falls from grace

All that is left now
Is an opportunity for change
Like the Lion searching for heart
Or the Scarecrow looking for a brain
